Favorite quote: “Faith is a treasure of life which is enriched by being shared.” -CCC 949

Or maybe this one: “There is no offense, however serious, that the Church cannot forgive.” -CCC

We need to share our faith and our stuffs too! All Christians should be ready and eager to help the needy as we are all part of the Communion of Saints (AKA: Church).

The three stages of the church are Pilgrams on earth (Church Militant), then we die and are purified (Church Suffering), and finally we live in glory (Church Triumphant). The Saints don’t cease to intercede with the Father for us, so we should ask for their prayers! Duh! But then we can return the favor and pray for the dead because this helps them but also makes their intercession for us effective! (Go ahead, look it up if you don’t believe it – CCC 958)

Mary aided the beginnings of the Church by her prayers and she becomes known as the “expemplary realization” of the Church. Her intercessions brings us the gifts of eternal salvation earning her the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress and Mediatrix.

Take that, spell check!

This doesn’t obscure or diminish the unique mediation of Christ but rather shows its power.

This is the guy who had the power to forgive sins and passes it on to the Apostles along with the Holy Spirit saying, “If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven.” (Jn 20:22-23)

Baptism kicks off our path towards regular forgiveness by uniting us with Christ, but it is the sacrament of Penance that reconciles us with God and with the Church.

Briefly mentioned: We will have a bodily resurrection…. join us next time for more on this!
